I write AI's most clickable content.
AI is changing content marketing forever. I can help you adapt.
If you’re missing out on the traffic you used to see, you probably have AI to thank. Nearly three-quarters (72%) of Americans report using AI tools for search, and 14% use them daily. So while AI promises to make content creation faster and easier than ever, it’s also making it harder to get clicks with your content.
LLMs will be the new search engine.
Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini are sending 800% more traffic year-over-year, and their share of referrals is only increasing. More importantly, they affect how people see your brand, products, and services. You need to create content that helps shape the conversation—like brand comparisons, tactical guides, thought leadership pieces with unique perspectives.
AIOs mean fewer clicks for you.
Google still pulls in 345x more traffic than the top three AIs combined. And that means the biggest AI disruptor is staring your customers in the face when they use Google, even if they’re not using AI Mode.
AI Overviews (AIOs), those summaries that pop up at the top of search results, reach 1.5 billion monthly users, but reduce clicks by 34.5%. And Google’'s only begun rolling them out. That’s a problem for many content marketers who are seeing their traffic dry up despite years of diligent SEO optimization.
But it’s not all bad news.
While 70% of searchers make it only a third of the way through an AIO, nearly all buyers (90%) click through to the sources. That means the traffic that does make it to your site is more than just idly curious. It's on a buyer's journey.
I write click-thru content.
How can you ensure buyers click through to your website? By writing the right content. The content that shows up in AIOs and LLMs—and piques their interest:
- Brand comparisons: URLs that include words like “best” (7%) “top” (5.5%), and “vs” (5%) earn the most clicks.
- Guides and in-depth articles: URLs containing “guides” see 6% of AIO clicks.
- Product and service: URLs with “contact” (7%), “products” (6.5%), “product” (5%), and “services” (4.5%) also get plenty of clicks.
These are exactly the kinds of content I excel at. But don’t take my word for it. Click through my portfolio to see for yourself.
